Shareholder Dorothy Baran recently delivered a presentation regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act to NALS of AZ at its Education Conference and Annual Meeting. NALS of AZ is a chartered state chapter of NALS, Inc., an association for legal professionals. Dorothy’s presentation focused on areas of ramped up enforcement by the Department of Labor. Dorothy spoke about misconceptions regarding wage and hour issues that commonly arise in the work place, such as mischaracterizing non-exempt employees as exempt. Dorothy serves as general legal counsel to many Arizona businesses and individuals on a variety of legal issues.
